The entire history of the Dachau Concentration Camp is explored in these two special programs, filmed in co-operation with the Camp Foundation, from the inhuman conditions there during the war, and the horrific brutality it hosted after its liberation. STATE WITHIN A STATE - Picture-postcard Dachau housed the first Nazi Concentration Camp. Surviving prisoners would tell of unspeakable cruelties perpetrated in conditions terrible beyond belief. LIBERATION & RETRIBUTION - The inhuman brutality that was endemic at Dachau did not come to an end with its 1945 liberation.
