In the late '80s, closeted college basketball player Christy Salters (Sydney Sweeney) tried her hand at boxing, and her potential caught the eye of older trainer Jim Martin (Ben Foster). The generation that followed-which saw her become one of the great competitors in the sport, and endure manipulation from Martin that included marriage, exploitation, and violence-is chronicled in this biopic offering a compelling central effort from Sweeney.
